Splintered
A poetic collaboration featuring
words by Kathryn Carter
+ photographs by French artist Nicolas Gavino.
void
she holds fast his light
that stains softly her flesh
from long-gone days
void of sorrow,
woven in purple night.
fire ice
come further,
bathe her broken body
in crimson waters
thawed from fire ice.
sutured
from their sky he brews
one glassful of fallen clouds
to steep kisses caught
in the wake of their
sutured shadow.
hollow chorus
you, with the wings
your hollow chorus wakes me
uninterrupted by the night slain
by synthetic sin
that smothers stars
in morning’s empty song.
splintered
spy her lips suffused
with his splintered serenade
soon to perish in the
dark of day.
