revolt the dawn

that thieves his touch

before their time

plead guilty to love.

[in vain]

dip their wings

in burnt cement

to sculpt your

fractured temple

forged by the light

of fires lit

by latex hands

on barren orchids.

baptise them broken

in smoldering cinders of

fallen lavender.

before your lips

the forlorn fog loses

its bearings, adaze

beneath your unchained breath.

Soon, they will retrieve

the residue of tainted

morning, shed softly

in your wake.

Laundering the traces

left by wolves led astray

by northern lights.
